Doris J. McComb:
Monmouth – Doris J. McComb, 95, (1919-2014) a resident of Blue Road, Monmouth, died Wednesday, December 10th at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, Maine. She was born on August 4, 1919 in Chicopee, Mass, the daughter of Herman A. and Mary E. Davis McDougal. Doris graduated from Chicopee High School and attended two years of business school. On February 24, 1940 she married Samuel Edward McComb. Doris was employed as a bookkeeper in Massachusetts. Doris was a Girl Scout Troop leader, active for many years in the Women’s Lioness Club and a life long member of Women’s American Legion Auxiliary Post 338. She enjoyed the time spent at her cottage in Madison, Connecticut. She is survived by her daughter, May Beth Godin, and her husband, Larry, of Monmouth; two grandchildren, Larry Godin, Jr. and his wife, Jami and Laura Clark and her husband, Scott, all of Monmouth; three great-grandchildren, Kyle and Morgan Clark, of Monmouth and Aaron Clark and his wife, Amanda, of Ft. Drum, New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel McComb; and three sisters, Thelma McDougal, Millie McDougal and Marion Brien.
