It was a dream come true.
A total of eight contestants in our Putz’s Ultimate Sports Challenge correctly chose Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming this past weekend.
A random drawing threw a blanket of red roses over the shoulders of Robert Piper (of Westfield). Congratulations Robert!
While Always Dreaming now appears to be the clear cut favorite to win the next leg of our contest, the Preakness (May 20), our current leaderboard features Nancy Boistelle and Jenn Kielbasas in first place with five points apiece in the race for our “Ultimate” grand prize.
Stan Zomek, Vicki White, and Piper are knotted in a second-place tie at four points. James Vincent, Dave Pighetti, and Jennifer Pelli Packard have three points apiece. Kevin Michaud, Jeff Owczarski, and Jack Pelli each have two. A total of 14 others each have one point.
Look for the next contest entry form appearing daily in The Westfield News, beginning later this week. Only one original submission is allowed per event. Multiple entries will lead to disqualification for that leg of the contest. Good luck!
