Creative Kids on 1251 East Mountain Road in Westfield recently held a supply drive for the Therapeutic Equestrian Center  (TEC) in Holyoke.  Each year, Creative Kids gets their students involved in a community event that involves children who are somehow in need.  TEC offers therapeutic horseback riding for physically and emotionally challenged children and adults.  Since Creative Kids’ co-owner, Sherri Morini also has a  miniature horse and a normal size horse on the property for the students’ routine rides and barn visits, TEC seemed to be a natural as a recipient for this fall’s fundraiser.   TEC’s executive director, Judy Zedonis, sent the school a wish list for the seven horses used at the facility.  Creative Kids families were very generous with their donations.  The supplies collected were stable shavings, horse shampoo, conditioner, hoof dressing, fly spray and even supplies for the barn cat “Eve.”  They also received office supplies and first aid kits. Some of the classes even baked up some home made horse cookies with oats, carrots and molasses.  Checkers and Stormy were the official taste testers.
