Dwight M. Belville

Westfield – Dwight M. Belville, 85 passed away peacefully on Friday December 28, 2018 at home. Dwight was born on June 29, 1933, one of six children of the late Raymond E and Bertha (Huckins) Belville, predeceased by his brother David Belville and sisters Caroline Hitchcock, Beverly Giordano, Joanne DeMassini and survived by his sister Lois Lackman and her husband George of West Springfield, Ma. Dwight also leaves behind his wife Noelle R (Wilder) Belville, 62 years of marriage. Dwight entered the United States Air Force in 1951, and served honorably during the Korean War. Dwight was employed at Stevens Paper Mill, then Strathmore Paper Mill as an engineer 3rd class until he retired. He enjoyed camping with family, loved birthday parties, Christmas parties, family cookouts; He especially loved to play the lottery hoping for a big win. Dwight leaves seven children, Tracy Saunders of Amherst, Robin Belville of Westfield, Dwight M Belville Jr. and wife Judy of Nebraska, Lisa Zerwitz of Three Rivers, Hope O’Neill of Tennessee, Leslie Barnish and husband Jerry of Granby, Roxanne Cyrankowski and Husband Michael of Westfield. He also leaves twenty-two grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, twenty four nieces and nephews. A special thank you for my sister Lisa Zerwitz, nieces Stacy Fernandes, Becky Gallant and Kelly St. Louis, and Dora Smith and Michelle Rivard and Laura from the O’Connell Agency for helping me with the care and companionship for my father during his illness. Funeral Services will be held at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield on Thursday, January 10th. Calling hours will be held from 11:30 am till 12:30 pm. Followed by a service at 12:30 pm. Burial will be follow at the Veterans’ Cemetery, 1390 Main Street Agawam Ma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sister Caritas Cancer Center, 271 Carew St, Springfield Ma.01104.
