OSBURN, ID – Edward “Tex” Henry Holub, 80, (1938 – 2019) of Osburn, Idaho, passed away August 23, 2019 at Mountain Valley of Cascadia of Kellogg, Idaho. He was born October 16, 1938 in Westfield, Massachusetts; a son of Henry M. and Mary (Marcyoniak) Holub. Tex proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He moved to the Silver Valley in May of 2005 from Massachusetts. Tex had served as a public servant for the City of Westfield, Massachusetts. He had also worked for the Highway Department. Tex lastly worked for the Westfield-Barnes Airport of Westfield, Massachusetts in maintenance; he then retired. He was a member of the American Legion Post #124 of Westfield. He loved and enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and watching cooking programs. Tex is survived by his daughter Sarah E. Holub of West Springfield, Massachusetts; two sons Shawn Gallo and Steven Holub and longtime friend Jack Gelgut of Westfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4-7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Committal services with military honors will be on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Please arrive no earlier than 10:45 AM.
