WESTFIELD: Erma Grigoryan, 73, (1948-2021): After a long battle with cancer, Erma went home to see our Lord Jesus Christ on August 11th, 2021 at 1pm. Born April 19th, 1948 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, daughter of Samson and Seda Gazarova, she was an engineer, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and a sister.
Erma leaves behind her husband Mikhail Grigoryan after 53 years, her son Karen Grigoryan and his wife Tamara Grigoryan of Westfield, her daughter Karine Miltimore and her husband Kyle Miltimore of Westfield, 8 grandchildren: Angela Paine, Nigel Paine, Emma Miltimore, Yana Okhrimenko, Roxana Okhrimenko, Eric Grigoryan, David Grigoryan, Samuel Grigoryan, 11 great-grandchildren, and many close relatives and friends.
Erma served God faithfully and was a member of a local Slavic Baptist Church. She loved math and tutored many children, she also loved cooking, baking and hosted many friends and family. Erma was dedicated to working hard and played an instrumental role in raising her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
We would like to thank multiple friends and family members who prayed for us and took care of Erma during her battle with illness and treatments. A special thanks to Pastor David Young for providing spiritual care for Erma during her last weeks of life, Dana Farber Cancer Institute for their outstanding and caring medical oncology and palliative team (Dr. Fromme and Dr. Burstein), local hospital inpatient staff, her infusion nurse Katie, Dr. Frank and Dr.Rosen who played a big role in Erma’s cancer journey, Cooley Dickinson Hospital ED and inpatient staff and providers who took excellent care of Erma and supported our family during Erma’s last days of life, and Firtion Adams funeral home for helping us with funeral arrangements for Erma and other family members in the past. We are confident that Erma accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her soul will live forever in the presence of our Lord. “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son so whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10 AM in Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085 with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield, MA 01085.
