Free July Events for Kids and Teens at the Westfield Athenaeum
Join us this month for exciting free events for children and teens! To sign up for these events, you may go onto our website, westath.org and click on “events” or you may call the Children’s Library at 413-568-7833 x 5.
Learn how to draw in the Manga and Anime style with local artist Shauna Leva! The Manga Workshop will cover how to draw a Manga or Anime face and body using professional techniques. All participants will be provided with the necessary materials. This event is happening on Tuesday, July 23, from 6:00-7:30 PM for teens in grades 5-12. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Westfield Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Get clean this summer by making your own soap! Children can make their own soap at our Astronauts and Aliens Soap Making event. Each child will make their own glycerin based soap and can glitter, color, and more to create their own design! Astronauts and Aliens Soap Making will take place on Thursday, July 25, from 1:00-2:00 PM for children ages 5-12 with required adult supervisor. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Westfield Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
