SEUSS BIRTHDAY BASH-DOOZALLA
In celebration of the birth of Theodor Geisel (March 2, 1904) better-known as Dr. Seuss, Blue Umbrella Books, 2 Main Street, Westfield, presents a daylong event of children’s readings hosted by Bob Plasse, featuring local artists and authors performing their favorite Dr. Seuss works, Saturday March 2nd, noon to 6 P.M.
The party kicks off with glassblowing demonstrations by local artist Hugh Naggar, who if called upon will create Flu-Floopers and Tar-Tinkers, Who-Hoovers and Gar-Ginkers from noon to 4 P.M. Bob Plasse assuming the guise of Geisel will be performing two of Dr. Seuss’s classics, as well as introducing special appearances by local artists and authors reading their own personal favorites. Open to the public and very family-friendly, and free.
