Four arrested on drug, other charges

WESTFIELD—Westfield Police arrested four people on drug and other charges Wednesday morning.

Westfield Police reported that Angel D. Garcia, 46, of Springfield, Gary D. Musial, 48, of Westfield, Kevin G. Anderson, 53, of West Springfield, and Krystal L. Wilder, 21, of Westfield, were arrested Jan. 31. The arrests came during an ongoing investigation by police, and an alleged transaction of heroin.

According to Westfield Police Capt. Michael McCabe, police were conducting an ongoing investigation and surveillance of an area on Meadow Street.

During this, McCabe reported that police had reportedly seen a vehicle with Anderson driving, with Garcia in the front passenger seat and who was later IDed as Wilder in the backseat, pull up next to Musial.

From there, police reported in the statement of facts that Musial had reportedly entered the backseat of the vehicle, then the vehicle allegedly proceeded to drive to a business’s parking lot about 50 yards away, where Musial then reportedly left the vehicle and began walking back from where the vehicle reportedly came.

According to McCabe, police stopped Musial and requested that he take his hands out of his pockets. According to police, when he did so, he allegedly dropped what they identified as heroin onto the ground.

Police reported that they stopped the vehicle that Anderson, Garcia and Wilder were in following this. According to the statement of facts, this was at Noble Street, in the area of McKinley Terrace.

McCabe said that following the stop, police had allegedly found 130 bags of heroin within the vehicle, and these bags allegedly had the same stamp as those dropped by Musial. In addition, police reported that Wilder allegedly had 10 bags of heroin in her possession.

Police arrested Garcia and charged him with distribution class A drug subsequent offense, conspiracy to violate drug law, possession to distribute class A drug subsequent offense and drug violation near school.

Musial was arrested and charged with possession class A drug and conspiracy to violate drug law.

Anderson was arrested and charged with distribution of class A drug, conspiracy to violate drug law and drug violation near school.

Wilder was arrested and charged with distribution of class A drug, conspiracy to violate drug law, drug violation near school and possession of heroin.

All four were arraigned Feb. 1 at Westfield District Court.

Garcia was released on $5,000 cash bail and with pretrial conditions. Wilder, Anderson and Musial were released on their personal recognizance and with pretrial conditions.
