WESTFIELD: Frances A. (Brzezinski) Slasienski, 101, (1920-2021) passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing. She was born in Westfield on March 10, 1920, the youngest of ten children to the late Franciszek and Virginia (Jakobowski) Brzezinski. Frances graduated high school in 1938 and worked for the Red Cross Blood Bank and Stanley Home Products until the end of the war. She was a longtime member of the Westfield Woman’s Club and volunteered in the Noble Hospital Gift Shop. Frances loved to play golf and she and her husband Edward were members of Blandford Country Club for many years and after his retirement they traveled all over the US visiting friends and family and playing golf. In her later years she became an avid bridge player and had many friends. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Polish National Catholic Church.
Frances is survived by her three loving children, Bruce and his wife Mireille of Florida, Janet and her husband Terry of VT and Holly and her husband Rick of Florida, her four grandchildren, Justin, Lindsey, Scott and Lori and a great-granddaughter, Hannah.
A Graveside Service will be held in November in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ name may be directed to St. Joseph’s Polish National Catholic Church, 73 Main St., Westfield, MA 01085. www.firtionadams.com
