Frances C. Rodenhizer

WEST SPRINGFIELD: Frances C. (Carzello) Rodenhizer, 82, of West Springfield, MA, died peacefully on Monday March 2, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Frances was the adored wife of Neil H. Rodenhizer. She was born at home on January 13, 1933 in Enfield, CT a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (DeMayo) Carzello. Frances graduated Enfield High School Class of 1951 then her employment included Electrolux and Hamilton Standard. Her favorite activities were playing games at family gatherings, watching the Boston Red Sox as well as classic movies, taking road trips, and nurturing her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 49 years, she is survived by her beloved son David M. Hood, her loving daughters; Lisa Rodenhizer Walsh of CO, Lynn A. Rodenhizer and Steven Dunn of CO, and Lori A. Robert and husband Joseph of Hopkinton, MA, her cherished granddaughters; Sarah, Sabrina, and Samantha Robert, stepson; Mark Rodenhizer of FL and his wife Barbara and son Jason. She is also survived by three brothers; John Carzello of Holyoke, MA, Gerald Carzello of Ellington, CT and Joseph Carzello and his wife Ann of Westfield, MA, four sisters; Clara Sanborn of W. Springfield, MA, Hilda Kaminsky and her husband Larry of Enfield, Katherine DeLorge and her husband Dennis of Springfield, MA and Rosemarie Carzello of Enfield, along with dear friends Rita Carzello, Cheryline Lafaille, and Leone Pappagallo all of Enfield. Frances was predeceased by brothers; Michael, Frank, and James Carzello and in-laws Dorothy Carzello, Wayne Sanborn, and Mary Ann Carzello.

Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Saturday (March 7, 2015) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd.
