EAST LONGMEADOW- Frances Eleanor (LaManna) Williams died peacefully Monday surrounded by her loving family. Born November 2, 1917 in Stamford, CT., “Fran” was raised in Bridgeport, CT. by her maternal grandmother, Agnes Margaret (Hoban) Fraley, affectionately known as “Nanny” Fraley. Later in life, Fran made her home in West Springfield; Agawam; Ocala, Florida; and Southwick. She was a communicant of Saint John the Evangelist Church in Agawam, Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield, and Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick. She leaves 4 sons and their spouses, Frederick & Noreen of Russell; Gary & Sybil of Southington, CT; Daniel of West Springfield; and Michael & Susan of Meadow Vista, CA; 2 daughters and their spouses, Judith & Gary Crawford of Flowery Branch, GA; and Beverly & Walter Fogg of Westfield; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick, in 2012; a daughter, Gail Roy, in 2013; granddaughters, Christine Fogg, in 1967, and Samantha Smith, in 2002; and a great grandson, Aidan Robinson, in 2002. Burial will be in the spring. No calling hours. The family would like to thank the caregivers of East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center and Beacon Hospice for all of their efforts on Fran’s behalf.
