WESTFIELD – Francine E. (Goyette) Zampini, 59, (1966-2025) passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Putnam, CT, to the late Paul and Patricia (O’Brien) Goyette.
Fran graduated from Marianapolis Prep School in Thompson, CT, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT, that included a year of study abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. She went on to receive her master’s degree from Westfield State University. She was employed as a science teacher for 26 years at Ellington High School (CT), retiring in 2019. She later worked as an office administrator for the Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce from 2020 to 2024.
Fran enjoyed traveling, reading, and supporting her New England sports teams. She was a player agent and coach for Westfield Little League for many years and an active member of the Westfield YMCA. Always up for a card or board game, she brought joy, laughter, and a welcoming spirit to everyone around her.
Fran is survived by her beloved husband, Philip R. Zampini of Westfield; her two sons, Nicholas M. Zampini and Michael C. Zampini, both residing in Arizona; and three brothers, Joseph P. Goyette of CT, Jean-Paul Goyette of FL, and James P. Goyette of MA.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Fran on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 4–7 p.m. at Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085. www.firtionadams.com
