WESTFIELD – Francisco Gomez, 90, of Westfield, died Monday, April 22, 2019 in Armbrook Village. He was born on November 14th, 1928 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, and had lived in western Massachusetts since 1952. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield, and worked for over 40
years at Strathmore Paper Company before his retirement. Francisco leaves behind his children, Roberto Gomez and his wife Idalia Lopez of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Elys Miranda and her husband Julio of Westfield, and Judith Chlastawa and her husband Frank of Westfield. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Eric, Kevin, and Jayson Gomez of Humacao, Puerto Rico, as well as Anthony and Lisa Miranda, and Luke and Matthew Chlastawa, all of Westfield, and three great grandchildren in Puerto Rico. He is predeceased by his wife, Gladys (Quinones) Gomez, and their son, Raul Gomez.
The funeral will be Friday, April 26th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 12:00 PM.
