Frank E. Bannish

Southwick – Frank E. Bannish, 100, a resident of over seventy years, passed away on February 21, 2017. He was born in Westfield, MA on September 8, 1916, a son of the late Michael Bannish and Mary (Beckert) Bannish. Frank retired as Head of the Bus Department for the Southwick School System after 13 years. Previously, Frank was the Assistant Foreman, for the Southwick Water Department for three years.  Frank was married to the former Mary J. Liese on March 5, 1939. They shared 67 years of marriage until her passing in  2006.  They were predeceased by a son Paul F. Bannish in 1990.  Frank was also predeceased by six brothers, Henry Bannish, Stanley Bannish, Thomas Bannish, Daniel Bannish, Joseph Bannish, John Bannish;  six sisters, Katherine Bannish, Theresa Roberts, Anna Buynicki, Nellie Organek, Josephine Lampe and Agnes Carmel.

Frank is survived by a son and his wife, Michael W. and Susie Bannish Sr.; two daughters and their husbands, Barbara A. and Clifton Stone, Janet M. and Raymond Snow all of Southwick; a sister, Jean Dignon of Pownal, Vermont; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.  Frank requested that all his services and burial be private.
