Frank R. Heiden

flagAGAWAM – Frank R. Heiden, 72, (1942 – 2015) comfortably entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at his home in Agawam, MA. Son of the late William and Eva (Dubois) Heiden, Frank lived in Westfield for many years and Agawam for over thirty-five. He was a master machinist at the former Kidder Stacy where he retired in 2002. A member of the Marconi Club, National Rifle Association, American Legion, and Westfield Elks Club, Frank was a man of many affiliations and interests. He also spent much of his time playing cards and betting with friends. From trips to Joe’s Pond to constructing a variety of projects of his own, Frank never stopped for even a moment. He also proudly served his country and earned the distinguished title of Army veteran. He leaves a son and his wife, Cory R. and Laura Heiden, a daughter and her husband, Cherie L. and Ken Abramowitz, a daughter-in-law, Amy Heiden, two brothers, William Heiden, Jr., Kenneth Heiden, a sister, Carol Aiken, his former wife, Judith (Lewis) Heiden, four grandchildren, John David Houghton, Kelly Lousen, Lauren Jurgens, Jordan Heiden, four great-grandchildren, Hailey, Owen, Nico, Christian and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Paul R. Heiden in 2011 as well. Frank was a man of compassion and sincerity and will be missed by many. The funeral will be Saturday at 10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7pm.
