Frederick “Fred” Richard Judecki

WESTFIELD: Frederick “Fred” Richard Judecki, 87, (1931-2018) son of the late Julius and Mildred (Cilva) Judicki left this world on Friday, October 12th from respiratory failure. Fred was born, raised and lived his whole live in Westfield.  He graduated from Westfield Vocational High School as a carpenter.  He worked for Hathaway and Steen Tobacco from his youth until they closed in the early 70’s.  He drove bus for years picking up youth working summers on the tobacco farm and loved talking to people he had worked with.  After they closed, he worked at two different lumber companies loading and delivery of building materials to local towns in the Western Mass and Connecticut area before ending his work career as a Custodian at Westfield State University. Frederick served in the Air National Guards for 11 years prior to marrying his wife Gail. He is survived by daughters Darlene Swaffer (Thomas) of Azalea Oregon, Deborah Breault (Charles) of Springfield, Dawn Altieri (Robert) and Denice Judecki both of Westfield, grandchildren Rylee and Domenic Altieri and a sister Ruth Norman also of Westfield, MA and many nieces and nephews throughout the country. Fred was predeceased by his wife Gail (Lafond), his siblings Martha Holl, Clifford (Chick) Judecki, and Gordon Judicki.

The family is choosing to have a private burial and no services.  Donations can be made in his name to one of the following: Western Mass Hospital Patient Fund, 91 East Mountain Rd. or Mercy Adult Day Health, 24 Clifton Street both located in Westfield, MA.
