Frederick J. Hepburn

SOUTHWICK – Frederick “Freddy” J. Hepburn, 77, (1943 – 2020) passed away on July 5, 2020 at his home. Born in Westfield, MA on March 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Albert and Sarah (Axton) Hepburn. As a young man, he had a Sunday paper route for the Springfield news and would attend newspaper boy days at Riverside Park every summer. He served as President of the Southwick Grange for a number of years–calling Bingo games on Saturday nights there and enjoyed drinking coffee at the local restaurants with friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 51 years Janet Hepburn (Belair) and his siblings, Richard Hepburn, Edward Hepburn and Eleanor Hepburn. To cherish his memory, Freddy leaves his sons Christopher Hepburn of Southwick and Frederick Hepburn and his wife Paula of Russell; two daughters Sarah Mullen and her husband Michael and Lisa Sicard and her husband Donald, all of Southwick; his grandchildren, Brandon Barnes, Brian Barnes, Concetto Hepburn, Reinhardt Hepburn, Caleb Mullen, Ashley Barnes, Cameron Hepburn and Dylan Hepburn; his great grandchild Willow Barnes with another on the way; his sisters Sally Barnett of Suffield, CT, Sharon Basile of Douglasville, PA and Marilyn Hepburn-Reppert of Westfield as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends including Ward and Nancy Weston and their son Billy.
