HILLTOWNS – There are still available time slots for eligible residents to get help with their tax returns for free.
The Hilltown Community Development Corporation has teamed up with the Southern Hlltowns Adult Education Center to offer free tax prep in the Hilltowns through the VITA Volunteer Tax Assistance Program, funded in part by the Berkshire County United Way,
Three tax prep locations are available through the Hilltown VITA program: In Chester at the Village Enterprise Center; in Chesterfield at the Hilltown CDC, and in Williamsburg at the former Helen E James school. Appointments are necessary at all locations.
You don’t have to be a Hilltown resident to take advantage of this offer. Massachusetts residents with a household income of $55,000 or less are eligible, however, those with business, rental, or farm income are not eligible. Call for an appointment at: 413-296-4536 ext 100.
