Friends Ready For Annual Book Sale

WESTFIELD-From vintage vinyl record albums to thousands of paperback and hard cover books, the rooms of the Old Town Hall on Broad Street await patrons starting April 27 at noon.
“All proceeds from this sale will support the many free programs and services offered by the Westfield Athenaeum,” said Bill Westerlind, president of Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum.
The mission of the Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum is to support the programs and services of the Athenaeum. Since its inception in 1996, the Friends have raised more than $165,000 to support programs including the Museum Pass Program, First Thursday Concert Series, books for boys and girls reading clubs, computers and new technologies and more.
The annual spring book sale will also feature collectible prints, posters and note cards, children’s books and DVD’s, audio books and CD’s. Book prices range from four for $1 up to $1 each with special pricing for collectible and vintage items.
Sale hours are April 27 and April 28, noon to 8 p.m.; April 29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cash, check and all major credit cards will be accepted.
