WESTFIELD – Gary A. Walker, 37, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was born in Holyoke on February 18, 1975.He grew up in Westfield and attended local schools. He moved to Bradenton, Florida from 1993-1998. He has lived in Westfield since 1998. He worked at the Westfield YMCA and the Westfield School Department. Gary had a passion for animals.
He leaves his daughter, Caitlin Walker of Bradenton, FL; his parents, Toni and Joe Hibert of Westfield; his brother, Norman Robbins and his wife Rene of Baltimore, MD; his sisters, Loretta Robbins and her companion Glenn of South Hadley, Patty Wallinovich and her husband Bill of Westfield, Dottie Jones and her husband Rob of CA and Carrie Egleston and her husband Scott of Westfield. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and his best friends Timmy Tierney and Dave Chapman.
The funeral for Gary will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, Westfield, MA 01085.
