WESTFIELD – Gary Michael Wallinovich passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1995 and then graduated from Winchendon Academy and also attended UMass Amherst. After several years in construction on Cape Cod and the surrounding areas, he accepted a position at MetLife. Gary worked for the Met Life blimp; Snoopy1 and Snoopy2 for 4 years and traveled throughout the United States. He covered most of the pro golf tours in the US. He served for 8 years in the United States Army. He was deployed to Iraq in the First Air Calvary. He returned home and volunteered to go into infantry training. He was then assigned to the 10th Mountain Infantry division for two tours in Afganistan.
He leaves behind his father and mother, Gary Wallinovich and Jane Richiedei Wallinovich, brothers, Greg and John Liptak (wives Joanne and Valenda Liptak), sisters Kate Marchand (husband Joseph Marchand) and Kelly Liptak (partner Peter Sanborn). He leaves behind 11 nephews and nieces and 2 great nephews. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, US Army brothers and his dog, Patches. All services are private.
