SOUTHWICK – Germaine “Gerry” Amanda Kube, 68, gained her angel wings on December 20th, 2023, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She passed peacefully at home in Southwick MA.
Gerry was born on July 9th, 1955, in Holyoke MA and was one of 13 children. She was adopted by an amazing couple, Francis and Pearl Mae (Blanchard) Wolski of South Hadley MA, who welcomed and loved her like their own. She graduated from South Hadley High School in 1974.
Gerry then went on to become a Registered Nurse where she spent her lengthy career caring for her beloved patients in various skilled nursing facilities throughout Western Mass, most recently at the Governor’s Center in Westfield MA.
Gerry loved spending her free time at the beach (as long as she did not have to fly there). She loved bowling on her bowling team, The Swans. She loved to watch The Voice, gardening, bird watching and listening to her windchimes. But most of all Gerry loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching them splash in her pool.
Gerry is survived by her loving husband, Gene Kube of Southwick MA. Her daughter Kelly Cyr of Plattsburgh NY, son David Motyl and his wife Jeannette of Russell MA and her stepson Christopher Kube and his wife Ashley of Tolland CT. Her adored grandchildren, Austin and Jeremy Cyr, Kelsey and Makaylah Motyl and Elodia, Emorie and Ensley Kube. Her brother Roger LaBrie and his wife Rachel of Billings MT and her sisters Janet Casillas of Avondale AZ and Theresa Greaves and her husband Robert of Easthampton MA, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her adoptive parents, her siblings Robert, Joseph, Edward, George, Raymond, Robert and Jarod LaBrie, Claire Deschaine and an unnamed sister that was stillborn, her nephew Mark Bidus and her precious rescue dog Geneva.
