WESTFIELD – Gertrudes O. (Ortiz) Sanders, 65, (1954-2019) passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Manila, Philippines to Rodolfo and Bella S. (Ortiz) Javier. Gertie loved playing Mahjong, watching pop culture TV shows, like Dancing with the Stars and WWE. She mostly loved cooking and spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Allan J. Sanders of Westfield, her loving son Richard A. Sanders and his wife Rita of Westfield, two brothers, Rolando De Le Cruz of Nanticoke, PA and Villamor De La Cruz of Philippines, her twin sister Maria Bonn and her husband William of Nanticoke, PA and her cherished grandchildren, Jordyn, Sydney, Michael and Leon. Sadly she was predeceased by a son Michael J. Sanders in 2000. A Committal service will be held on Thursday at 3PM in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA 01001.
