WESTFIELD – Gladys H. Piette, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 23rd, 2025, at UConn Medical Center. She was born in East Granby, CT to the late Orvis and Lavarain (Manning) Holcomb. She graduated from Simsbury High School in 1953. After high school she worked at Kaman Electronics in bookkeeping and that is where she met and married the love of her life Allen. They got married on January 16th, 1960, and started a family together. She then worked for 25 years at Preferred Electronics as an electronic assembler.
Gladys enjoyed cleaning as that relaxed her and making arts and crafts. She loved going to tag sales and flea markets, but most importantly spending time with her family. She also enjoyed vacationing to Florida and Ogunquit with her husband Allen.
Gladys was predeceased by her beloved husband Allen G. Piette in 2024. They were married for 65 years.
She is survived by her loving children, Robert J. Piette and his wife Paula of Westfield, Denise M. Barrett and her husband Scott of Westfield and Suzanne M. Verrilli and her husband Joseph of Southington, CT, her cherished six grandchildren, Andrew Morris (Lacey) Stephanie Fyvie (Al), Jared Piette (Emily), Desire Piette (Ben), Nicole Verrilli (Christiaan) and Brian Verrilli (Elle) and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her siblings Eugene “Bobo” Holcomb, Orvis “Juney” Holcomb, Elizabeth “Betty” Duplin, and Helen Dashno.
