CHICOPEE – Glenn R. Madison, age 43, was unexpectedly taken from us. He was born at Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA and graduated from Longmeadow High School and American International College in Springfield, MA.Glenn spent most of his adult life volunteering as a caregiver for his grandparents who lived in Westfield, MA. He was a kind and gentle person who always stopped to help family and friends. He loved animals. His parent’s dog Smidge would jump with joy whenever Glenn visited. Glenn was a special person.
Glenn is survived by his parents, Robert Madison and Mary (Lewicki) Madison; his brother, Eric Madison and wife Brandy; sister, Michelle Packowski and husband Steve and beloved nephews and niece Joshua Madison, Christopher Madison, Michael Packowski, Joseph Packowski and Kristina Packowski; uncle, Thomas Madison and aunts, Joyce Miller and Judith Knapp and cousins Cynthia Miller, Mark Miller, Aaron Madison, David Knapp and Jeffery Knapp. He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Madison and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Marion Madesky, his maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Lewicki and his uncle David Knapp. Glenn will be missed by all who knew him.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church in Westfield with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield, MA. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
