CHESTER – A Gateway district parent and a staff member are the big winners in this year’s Heating Oil Raffle run by the Chester Elementary School PTO. The winning names were drawn on Monday, November 5th at the school. The first prize is either 100 gallons of heating oil or $350.00 cash. That prize was won by Donna Gaj of Blandford who has a son who attends Chester Elementary School. She chose the cash option!
The second prize, a cord of wood, will be delivered to William Brown. He’s Gateway Regional’s Library Director. The Chester PTO raised over $1100.00 with this fundraiser which is a great way to start off the year.
The PTO thanks all those who bought tickets and those who helped sell tickets. Funds raised by the PTO are used to pay for field trips, enrichment activities, field day and to support other classroom needs.
