WESTFIELD – Helen M. (Czyzniak) Walters, 88, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Noble Hospital. She was born in Windsor Locks, CT on July 27, 1925 to the late John and Alice (Molndowsky) Czyzniak.
She was raised in Windsor Locks and attended local schools and attended St. Mary’s Church. Helen has also lived in Amsterdam, NY, Southwick, MA and has lived in Westfield for the past 48 years. She worked at Old Colony for many years and worked for Chick and Feg Arnold in Southwick. Helen also worked at Westfield Manor Nursing Home in Westfield and retired in 1985. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield.
She leaves her children, Russell S. Walters and his wife Carol of Southwick, Christopher J. Walters and his wife Sandy, Carol Ann Hall and Barbara Jean Robitaille and her husband Edward all of Westfield, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Stephen J. Cass in 1998 and a great-granddaughter, Jessica in 1997.
Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
The funeral and burial will be private. Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield are handling the arrangements.
