WESTFIELD – Henry G. Kleczek, 86, died Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was born in Westfield on November 20, 1925 to the late Stanley and Agatha (Okarma) Kleczek.
He grew up in Westfield attending local schools and was valedictorian of his graduating class, 1944 at Westfield Trade High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Henry played basketball and baseball during high school. He retired from Hamilton Standard in 1991. He also worked for Advance Manufacturing and Westfield Gage Company and various manufacturing shops in the area. Henry was a member of the American Legion Post #124, the Westfield Sportsman’s Club and was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He was also an avid gardener.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Rita (Donohue) Kleczek in 1998 and his son, William H. Kleczek in 1985. He leaves his brother, Thadeus Kleczek; his sisters, Jessie Feustel and Helen Morgan all of Westfield and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral and burial are private.
