WESTFIELD: Henry “Tucker” E. Paul, 93, (1927-2021) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was born in New Britain, CT to the late Leo and Dora (Cloutier) Paul and attended Chicopee Schools. Henry proudly served his country in the United States Merchant Marine and Coast Guard during World War II from 1944-1946 as a Fireman second class. Tucker owned and operated Henry Paul General Contracting since 1952 and was a master of masonry and fine home building. He was a faithful man who led by example, a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a member of the Cursillo. Tucker had an infectious laugh that could be heard across the room; he enjoyed building model airplanes and rode motorcycles until he was 90 years old. He was an avid reader and member of the Westfield Athenaeum, loved to support youth sports and was a huge Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed his beach house in Rhode Island and wintered at his home in Florida. Most of all he loved spending time with family, his beloved pets and finding joy in the simple life.
Tucker is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Lucille T. (Gagnon) Paul of Westfield, his son David H. Paul and his wife Barbara of Belchertown, his daughters, Sandra R. Bremer and her fiancé Gregory McKinstry of The Villages, FL, and Kimberly A. Doro and her husband Michael of Berlin, CT, five cherished grandchildren, Lee Bremer, Eric Paul, Jason Paul, Corey Paul and Zélia Doro and three great-grandchildren, Ella, Abby and Lilly Paul and his beloved dog Daisy. He was predeceased by a brother Leo Paul and sister Dorothy Landry.
