James C. Trusty

Westfield – James C. Trusty, 83, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Noble Hospital. He was born in Westfield on March 1, 1935 to the late Martin and Julia (Brzezinski) Trusty.  He was a lifelong resident of Westfield and attended local schools.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Korea. James served on the USS Coral Sea and was there for the last attack. He worked at Digital Equipment Corp. in Westfield for 21 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 454. He was a past choir member of St. Mary’s Church. He was predeceased by his wife Janet (Daley) Trusty in 2007. James leaves his children Patricia Trusty of Texas and Kathleen Seavey of Maine, 2 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He also leaves his brothers Edward Trusty of Westfield and Martin Trusty Jr. of Tennessee, his sisters Frances Henley of Oklahoma, Kathleen Pighetti of Westfield, and his brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law Bob and Bonnie Daley and Jack and Dorrie Daley of Westfield and was pre-deceased by his sister Alice Escott of Texas.  He loved tending to his rose gardens at home and was much loved by close friends and family who will always remember his “booming voice”, firm handshake, generous and loyal spirit.  A calling hour will be from 9-10:00 A.M. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA on Thursday, June 14, with Funeral immediately following. Burial Service will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. Donations in memory of James may be made to the Stanley Park Veterans Memorial, 400 Western Avenue, Westfield, MA 01085.
