James V. Marciano

Marciano of Westfield, MA passed away on March 1, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center.  The son of the late Malio Marciano and Margaret Bowman Marciano, Jim was born on April 4, 1942 in Waterbury, CT.  He attended schools in Waterbury and North Adams before graduating from Westfield High School in 1956.  He attended the University of Miami, completing his junior year at American international College.  The first half of his work career was in the sales of office machine equipment.  In the 1980s, his creative mind led him into the paper industry where he went on to invent new uses for the excess rolls of fine paper produced in the many mills found in Western MA.  Jim believed the best form of recycling is to “Re Use” an existing paper product.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years Jacqueline (Dupuis) Marciano and his son James A. Marciano and wife Siiri, and 2 step grandchildren Maili and Aavo McClafferty, his brother John C. Marciano and wife Sherill of San Diego, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations in Jim’s name may be made to The Memorial Fund of St. Peter St. Casimir Church, 22 State St, Westfield, MA 01085.
