EAST LONGMEADOW-James J Wagner, 64, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, May 17, 2015. A native of Chicago, IL, Jim raised his family in East Longmeadow with his beloved wife, Patricia. Jim was assistant director of Westfield Vocational Technical High School from 1989-2009. He was pre-deceased by his brother Larry and his parents Charles and Louise Wagner. Many happy memories will live within and comfort his wife, Patricia, his daughter Anne, his son Eric and his wife Kelley, his son Nathan and his wife Cheri and his treasured grandchildren Astrid, Judah, Miles and Noah. Jim is also survived by his sisters Jane Seaver of Feeding Hills, MA as well as sisters Doris Connolly and Cathy Fornaris of Chicago, IL and brothers in law James Loughren of Albuquerque, NM and Thomas Loughren of Endicott, NY and each of their families. The Goodchild Family of Springfield, MA and lifelong friends Michael Matre and John Miller as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers will deeply mourn his passing and uphold his memory. Jim was a source of inspiration, laughter, wisdom and understanding and a man of great integrity who left an impression on all those who knew him. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7pm at Forastiere-Smith Family Funeral and Cremation, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Kinship Fund ( an initiative to provide independent living to unaccompanied youth at all Westfield High Schools).
