Congressman Neal tours Noble Hospital
WESTFIELD – On Friday, Jan. 27, Noble Hospital will host Congressman Richard Neal for a tour of the hospital.
Congressman Neal serves as a representative for the Second District of Massachusetts which has now been extended to represent Westfield. In an effort to learn more about Westfield the Congressman will be touring Noble Hospital, getting to know our core values of delivering a high quality of care and services while staying community-focused.
As an effort to preserve and maintain the integrity of the health care system Congressman Neal supports the interests of Massachusetts to remain as a leader in health care quality and delivery. He has also worked very diligently with health care providers to maintain and protect the Medicare system. Congressman Neal supports policies and programs that advocate for health children and communities. Neal has also invested in cities and towns within his district to assist hospitals in road and water improvements bettering their overall appearance and atmosphere.
Congressman Neal serves as a senior member on the Ways and Means Committee. His main focus was healthcare.
Congressman Neal not only cares for the general public but also the places where we live, work, and socialize. Neal served as mayor of Springfield from 1984 to 1989 where he strived to promote economic, cultural and public works projects across the community. He has been nationally recognized for his rehabilitation efforts including the construction of the Monarch Place complex and many other renewal projects across the community.
Congressman Neal has been recognized for his leadership and innovation by receiving honorary degrees from Westfield State University, Springfield College, Western New England College, Elms College, and Suffolk University. He is currently serving as co-chairman of the New England Congressional Caucus, where he advocates the unique opinions of the New England States. We welcome his ideas, beliefs, and values not only during his visit at Noble Hospital but to Westfield as well.

‘Meet and Greet’ with Congressman Neal
SOUTHWICK – The Southwick Democratic Committee will be hosting a Meet and Greet with Congressman Richard Neal on Thursday, February 9th, at 7:00pm at the Senior Center in the Southwick Town Hall at 454 College Highway. Southwick Democrats to elect delegates
SOUTHWICK – Democrats in Southwick will be holding a caucus at the Southwick Town Hall, 454 College Highway on Saturday, February 11, at 10:00 a.m. to elect four delegates and two alternates to the 2012 Massachusetts Democratic Convention, where Democrats from across Massachusetts will select candidates to compete for the Democratic nomination for U. S. Senate. The convention will be held on Saturday, June 2, at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield.
The caucus is open to all registered Democrats in Southwick, and the Democratic Committee warmly welcomes participants. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. To vote in the caucus, Democrats must have been registered as Democrats as of December 31, 2011, and must be in line by 10:15 a.m.
The Southwick Democratic Committee normally meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Southwick Town Hall in The Land Use Room. For more information on the caucus or the committee please contact Beth Malone at [email protected] or 413-998-3278.

Annual Republican Brunch planned
WESTFIELD – The Westfield Republican City Committee will host their annual Lincoln’s Day Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 12, 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the East Mountain Country Club, 1458 E Mountain Road Westfield. State Senator Michael Knapik and State Representative Don Humason will serve as this year’s hosts.

Southwick plans Presidential Primary
SOUTHWICK – The Town of Southwick Clerk’s Office would like to inform all residents that the last day to register to vote for the Presidential Primary will be February 15. The office will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on February 15.
Anyone interested in obtaining an absentee ballot, please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 569-5504. Application deadline is March 5 at 12:00 p.m. All absentee ballots will need to be received at the Town Hall no later than 8:00 p.m. on March 6.
