Jennie Marie Pease

WESTFIELD – Jennie Marie Pease, 83, died Thursday, April 13th, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 30, 1939 to the late John and Josephine (Krill) Zelez. She grew up in NY and came to Westfield in 1953. She was a graduate of Westfield High School. She married her husband Roy Pease in 1956. She worked at Wesco Mfg., the Southwick Post Office and was the proprietor of The Elm Motel in Westfield. She enjoyed raising her children, going to Florida to her parent’s home, going to the casino, looking up at the stars and planets with Sue and taking care of her animals. She enjoyed traveling with the members of the Senior Center.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years Roy E. Pease. She leaves her daughter Sue Gregory of Westfield and her son Thomas Pease of Westfield, her grandchildren Joshua, Amy and Megan Pease, her great-grandchildren Joshua and Hanna Pease, her brother Joseph Zelez of Westfield, her daughters-in-law Carole Pease and Joy Pease, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her children Michael, Steven and Jeffrey Pease and her sister Julie Zelez.

Jennie will be greatly missed since she was our social butterfly. Jennie’s family would like to thank Baystate Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to her.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 21st from 11 am-1 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A service will be held at 1 pm and burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
