WESTFIELD – Joan A. Woodis, 86, (1938-2025) passed away on Monday, September 15th, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield to the late John and Katherine Fitzgerald on December 19th, 1938.
Joan worked as a nurse’s aide for Noble Hospital in Westfield for many years and moved to New York and worked for Leonard Hospital; after its closing she went to work at St. Mary’s Hospital in the billing office.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and working in her garden.
Sadly, Joan was predeceased by a son John Woodis and a brother Jack Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mathianne Cooper and her husband Stan of Brooksville, FL and Kim Oliver and her husband Nels of Westfield and her cherished two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
