WESTFIELD – JoAnn M. (Connolly) Peterson, 70, (1951 – 2022) passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Heritage Hall North. She was born in Westfield to the late Arthur and Mabel (Hovencamp) Connolly. JoAnn was a loving mother of three who enjoyed sports, crafting and spending time with her kids. She was very hands-on with their sports, loved making costumes and always threw the best birthday parties. Even with her diminished mental health, she always felt proud of her children and later loved her grandchildren more than they knew.
She was predeceased by a brother Arthur Connolly and a sister Frances Pombier.
She is survived by her loving children, Christopher P. Peterson of Tucson, AZ, Jennifer E. Gagnon with Darryl Seaha of Westfield and Heather Peterson of Feeding Hills, four grandchildren, Kelsey Gagnon, Kristin Holmes, Morgan Gagnon and Conner Peterson. She also leaves her sisters Sharon Cote of Chicopee, Patricia Girard of Westfield, Mary Cowan of North Carolina, Cathy Barney of Tennessee, and a brother Martin Connolly of South Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held for JoAnn on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 10:30AM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St., Westfield. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085. www.firtionadams.com.
