John B. Beattie, Jr.

AURORA, CO – John B. Beattie Jr. 48 of Aurora Co. and Westfield MA., died peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, in Aurora, on May 8, 2019, after a short unexpected illness. John was born March 23, 1971, the eldest son of John B.(Ben) Beattie Sr. and Stella Beattie.

Johnny was educated in the Westfield schools and Aurora schools. He attended the Westfield Middle School and St.Mary’s High School., where he played basketball and soccer. He received an Associates Degree in Business from Holyoke Community College, where he was a D.J. for the school radio. He loved music and was an avid fan of The Boston Red Sox and The Denver Broncos.

Johnny leaves his sons John Henry (and partner Lia), Philip D., his daughter Amber and their mother Kristie, his grandchildren, Annabelle, Grayson, Hayden and Lillyanne, his sisters Ursula Heinz (and husband Craig Hienz) and Katherine M, and his brother James M, (wife Dawn), and many loving nieces and nephews, also his Aunt Carol Amy and husband Thomas Amy.

Johnny  leaves also his Westfield Beattie family, his Aunt Ginnie (his other mother), Uncles Harold Jr.and The Hon. Philip A. (wife Donna), cousins (his other brothers) Philip A. Jr. (wife Maureen) Jeffery D. (wife Breeda) and Matthew T., he was predeceased by April N (his little sister ) and his grandparents Dr. Harold T. Sr. and Virginia V Beattie. and he leaves many loving younger cousins and his friends.

Johnny was known as a very big man, with an even bigger heart. He was loving, kind, and always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
