Cunningham, John YoungPALMER: John Cunningham, 78, loving husband of 32 years of Linda (Nascembeni) Cunningham, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Born on October 30, 1937, in Holyoke, MA, loving son of John and Esther E. (Currie) Cunningham, raised in Holyoke and a graduate of Springfield Trade High School, he was a longtime resident of Springfield. John had a long career as a truck driver, working for Dairy Mart, for 27 years, and later for C& S Trucking in Westfield, for over 10 years, before retiring in 2009. John was a fun loving and talented guy everyone could rely on. He had a great ability for fixing everything around the house. John was an avid fan of NASCAR, and enjoyed watching WWF Wrestling. His favorite place to be was Walt Disney World. He was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed by his entire family. John is survived by his wife, Linda, of Palmer; his loving children, John Cunningham, Jr., Of  Westfield, and Bonnie Farmer and her husband, Winston of Windsor, CT; step children, Philip Bertera of Tallahassee, FL;, Angela Bertera of Palmer, and Joanna Bertera of Wilbraham; and by 10 adored grandchildren.He was predeceased by his son, Michael A. Cunningham in 2008 and daughter Diana Lynn (Cunningham) Loudon in 1980 and by his son in law, Terry Loudon. John was also predeceased by his former wife, Nancy E. Cunningham in 2009. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, May 7, for a period of visitation from 7-8 p.m. at Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Avenue.
