FLORIDA – Joseph C. Hancock passed away on November 7, 2013. Joe was born on November 2, 1932 in Cambridge, MA but grew up in Westfield, MA. He was the only son of George and Katherine Hancock.Joe was married to Mary Jean Bartlett Hancock for 58 wonderful years. After graduating St. Mary’s High School, Westfield in 1950, he went on to the University of Connecticut where he graduated with his B.S. Degree. Then in 1962, he attended the University of Bridgeport where he received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Joe worked as a Professional Engineer in the Aerospace field while living in Florida. After serving for 22 years as the Assistant Director and then Director of the Public Utilities Department for the City of Boca Raton, he retired.
Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Jean; son, Joel Hancock and daughter, Nathalie Batiste.

Services were held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, located at 370 S.W. 3rd Street in Boca Raton, FL 33432. A private service will be held in Westfield at the convenience of the family with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
