SOUTHWICK: Joseph DeTraglia, age 71, passed away at home following an illness with his loving family at his side. Joseph was the husband for 32 years to Nancy (Griffin) DeTraglia. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Last and her fiancée Robert Urtz, of Lee Center, NY, a son , James Madison of Granby, MA; 2 step children, Jeffrey and Robin Davis , of Lee, NY; a sister, Louise Fredericks o f Suffield, Ct; 3 grandchildren, Carrie Last, Krystyna Last and her boyfriend Gary Libby, all of Lee, NY, Kyle Logan of Wilkes-Barre, PA; 1 great grandson, Scott Libby; and 2 nieces, Carrie Christiansen, Laurie Christiansen, both of Westfield.
Joseph was born in Gloversville, NY a son of the late Henry and June (Dake) DeTraglia. Joseph was a U.S. Navy Veteran, who honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. He was last employed by Atlas Founders Inc. in Agawam and was a member of the American Legion#338 in Southwick and also the American Legion # 1794 in Lee Center, NY.
His funeral ceremony will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. , Framingham, MA 01701 .
