WESTFIELD: Joseph E. LaPlante, 31, of Westfield passed away at home on Thursday, June 25th. He was born in Holyoke on April 29, 1984 to James and Betty (Papa) LaPlante. He was a 2002 graduate of Westfield Vocational/Technical High School. Joe had an avid interest in reading – always learning new things. He was passionate about helping others. Joe had a work ethic that was respected by many. His laugh and bright smile always lit up the room. Joe had a great devotion to his family and friends, with the biggest heart imaginable. Joe will be forever missed and loved by his greatest teacher in life, his father; his confidant and shining star, his mother; and his best friend and sister, Jenny, who always believed in him. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 1st from 5:00-7:30 pm at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield. A memorial service will follow at 7:30pm.Burial will be private.
