AGAWAM – Joyce J. (Pierrepont) Perron, 72, of Agawam passed away on January 10, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late David and Frances (Barry) Pierrepont.
She was born and raised in Westfield where she lived much her life and resided in Agawam for the past 38 years. Joyce graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1957 and completed the Western Mass Hospital Nursing Program in 1959. Her fifty-year nursing career included work at the Holyoke Soldiers Home, Heritage Hall in Agawam and the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow until she retired in 2009.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Lance Perron of Hatfield, Joseph Perron of Agawam and Keith Perron and his wife Leanne of Hebron, CT and three grandchildren; Adam, Alexandra and Arden. She is survived by her brother, David Pierrepont, Jr. and his wife Theresa Murphy and her sister, Kathryn Schneider and her husband Bill.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 17th at St. Mary’s Church on Bartlett Street in Westfield followed by a burial service at Pine Hill Cemetery also in Westfield.
