WESTFIELD – Julianna H. St. Jean, 99, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Noble Hospital in Westfield. Born on May 23, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Andro and Stephania (Kwapien) Babinski.
A lifelong resident of Westfield, Julianna attended local schools. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield. She worked at the former White’s Quaint Shop and Steiger’s Company, both in Westfield. Julianna was a big sports fan rooting for the Red Sox and the Bruins. She enjoyed raising sunflowers and organizing the family picnics.
Julianna is survived by three sons, John St. Jean and his wife Amorette from West Springfield, Robert J St. Jean from Westfield, and Ronald R. St. Jean from Alpharetta, GA. She leaves three grandchildren, Dawn K, John R, and James M along with several great-grandchildren. Julianna also leaves two brothers, John Babinski and Charles Babinski, both from Westfield, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Julianna was predeceased by Rose Schenna, Casimir Babinski, Joseph Babinski, William Babinski, and Helen Jamrogowicz.
The funeral will take place Thursday morning, January 31st at 9:30 a.m. from The Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main Street, (Route 20), Westfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett Street, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery also in Westfield. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
