Julianne (Werder) Miller

SOUTHWICK: Julianne (Werder) Miller, 59, (1961-2021) passed away at home on Monday, March 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Raymond and Sophia (Opachick) Werder, was a graduate of Stevenson High School in Livonia, MI and received her associate’s degree from Central Michigan University.

Julianne worked as a certified medical assistant for many years. She took great pride in providing the best care for her patients. Julianne also took great care of her family, who brought her endless joy. Julianne loved to host big family dinners and summer get-togethers, especially in her backyard oasis. She thrived outdoors, often going for long walks with friends or relaxing in her backyard. Julianne could often be found lounging out by the pool, soaking up every ray. She loved to travel with her husband, and the Caribbean was their most favorite spot, especially the island of Saint Martin. She loved the cuisine, the sun, and the sand, and she spent countless days on Mullet Bay beach with family and friends. When she wasn’t traveling, Julianne took great pride in decorating her new home, caring for her plants, and gardening outdoors. She enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends, often meeting up for breakfast. Julianne also loved being a Grammy to her two grandchildren. She was always up for a trip to the playground or watching a few cartoons cozied up on the couch.

Julianne is survived by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Craig S. Miller of Southwick, her loving sons, Bradley R. Miller and his wife Kimberly of Southwick and their children Kase and Madelynne, and Brian C. Miller and his fiancé Andrea Modlish of Westfield, and her brother Allan Werder of Farmington Hills, MI.

The Miller family would like to thank Dr. Kawar and Dr. Myers for the excellent care Julianne received through Baystate Oncology.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085. Donations can be made to Baystate Hospice in honor of Julianne.
