HAYDENVILLE – Ana Garcia completed her journey on earth on February 1st, 2024, and joined her husband in heaven. Ana’s life was full of love and care for family, friends and the Lord. Born in Puerto Rico, Ana moved to Westfield MA in 1955 to start a new life. She was a devout parishioner of St. Mary’s Parish for many years prior to moving to Florida. In 2020, Ana moved back to Massachusetts to enjoy her last years with her loving family. She embraced life with trips to Colorado, Puerto Rico and Mexico, and holidays surrounded by family. She was the oldest person to join the Young at Heart Singers at the age of 91, and thoroughly enjoyed her performances and the special relationships she formed.
Ana was predeceased by her husband, Franco Garcia.
She leaves behind her sons Franco (Karen), Jose (Katherine) and Carlos (Janet) as well as her five grandchildren, Jonathan, Becky, Nina, Tony and Lito, and her great-grandchildren, Aria, Rowan, Amelia, Elliana, and Silas.
Calling hours will be held at Firtion Adams Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7th from 4-7. Those unable to attend the wake are welcome to join the family on Thursday, February 8th at the funeral home at 9 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Westfield at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
