Karl F. Recoulle

Southwick – Karl Fredrick Recoulle, 87, (1930 – 2018)  beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.  He was born in Holyoke to the late, Adolph and Bertha (Wolfe) Recoulle.  He attended Holyoke High School and earned his GED in 1947.  He went on to further his education at the University of Southern California graduating with a degree in Aviation Mechanics.  Karl proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Airforce during the Korean War.  He was an aircraft electrician for Flight Enterprise in Windsor Locks, CT for 5 years.  He then worked for KAMAN Aerospace in Bloomfield, CT for 32 years until he retired in 1992.  A Trustee and Charter Member of Christ Lutheran Church, Karl was Past President, Past Treasurer and a Church Elder; also a member of the Connecticut Valley and Keene New Hampshire Mineral Clubs.  Karl leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Eunice; his daughter, Susan Filipiak and her husband Ted of Southwick; his son, David Recoulle of AZ; his 3 grandchildren, Anna and her husband Jonathan, Tiffany and Jacob; his sister Marguerite Pueschel of NY, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Recoulle; and his sister, Esther Schmidt. Karl’s service will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 11AM inChrist Lutheran Church, 568 College Highway, Southwick. Karl will be laid to rest in the spring in St. John Cemetery, Westfield.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund, P. O.
