WESTFIELD – Katharina (Kiszko) Chrzanowski, 78, of Westfield died Friday, October 11, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Turisk, Poland and was the daughter of the late Michael and Sofia (Demenchuk) Kiszko and has lived in Westfield since 1953.Katharina was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2008 and her son, Michael in 2013. Katharina enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Eduard and his wife Nancy of Holyoke, and William and his wife Kathleen of Westfield; a daughter, Elaine Chrzanowski with whom she lived; a daughter-in law, Lynn Chrzanowski of Westfield; two sisters, Maria Long and Bogumilo Schwab both of Austria. Katharina also leaves seven grandchildren, and a five great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
