WESTFIELD: Kathleen L. Collins was called to rest on Thursday, May 6, 2021 while at home with her loving family. Kathy was a dedicated wife, mom, and Mema/Grandma Kath first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them until the very end of her life.
Kathy had a vivacious personality and always made people around her feel loved and special. She enjoyed spending time watching the Red Sox, games at Bullens Field and every St. Mary’s High School event that ever happened. She was a supporter of Greyhound Options, a professional Facebook poster, and an avid Amazon shopper.
All because two people fell in love, she is survived by her husband Charles of 59 years and their children, Todd and his wife Connie, Troy and his wife Sherri, Tim, Shane and his wife Gretchen, Matt and his wife Lynn, 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary and her husband Tim Leckie, brother William and his wife Denise Cullen and brother Joseph Cullen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kathy’s Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 12th at 11:30 AM in St. Mary’s Church Westfield. Her calling hours will precede the service from 9-11AM in the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085. Burial will follow the mass in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Main Street, Agawam MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s name may be made to St. Mary’s High School, 27 Bartlett Street, Westfield, MA 01085. www.firtionadams.com
