Philip Wayne Boisseau

SOUTHAMPTON: Philip Wayne Boisseau, 34, of Southampton passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center due to complications resulting from COVID-19. Philip was born in Holyoke, MA on March 13, 1987 the son of Alan W. Boisseau and Shirley A. (Dziadzio) Boisseau.
Philip grew up in Westfield and was a 2005 graduate of Westfield Technical Academy. Philip, aka “Country”, worked as a heavy equipment operator for the last 12 years for Palmer Paving a subsidiary of Peckham Industries, and was a member of Local 98. In 2017 Philip began operating Country Sealcoating as a way to further provide for his family, and took great pride in starting his own business. Phil was known as a hard worker to all, and never seemed to stop. Philip had just completed his schooling as well with United Tractor Trailer School to obtain his CDL, and was so very much looking forward to obtaining the additional licensure.

Phil was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending as much time out in the woods as possible. Anyone that knew Phil knows how much he loved sitting out in his tree stands watching the sunrise, checking his game cameras, or teaching Duke to retrieve sheds. Phil also enjoyed sharing his passion with his children, who enjoyed sitting on the couch with daddy watching bear hunting, and are constantly asking to go looking for deer down The Lot. Additionally, Phil enjoyed truck pulling, demo derbies, ice fishing with his eldest son, his yearly summer deep sea fishing trips, and most possibly his favorite: tinkering on vehicles in his father’s horse barn. Phil loved having his winters off of work and spent most everyday with one of his very best friends Justin Guilmette hunting and going on lunch dates. Phil would tell anyone he hates the heat and beach, but never complained once about sharing his wife’s love of cruising with her.

Philip is predeceased by both of his grandfathers Maxie Dziadzio and Harold Boisseau, uncle Harold Boisseau Jr., cousin Brandi Boisseau, and mother-in-law Linda (Boulanger) Snape.

Philip is survived by his wife Katie L. Boisseau (Boulanger), his parents, brother Michael Boisseau and his wife Bryelle of Westfield. Philip will be so incredibly missed his three children: “Bud” Tristen J. Boisseau (10), “Honey” Brooke M. Boisseau (3), and “Buddy” Bryce W. Boisseau (2). Philip also leaves his maternal grandmother Maureen Dziadzio, paternal grandmother Pauline Boisseau, nephews Braydon and Dylan, karaoke partner Ryan Whitney, brother-in-law Matt Boulanger, father-in-law Matthew Boulanger and his partner Tracey, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Last but not least Philip leaves his very best friend who misses his daddy immensely, his chocolate lab Duke.

A walk-through calling hour for Philip will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4-7pm at Graham Funeral Home, 18 Adams Street in Easthampton. It is asked that everyone attending the services wear masks and maintain social distancing at all times. Additionally, Phil’s family would like to invite all to attend a celebration of his life at his parent’s home located at 807 Pochassic Road, Westfield on Saturday May 15th beginning at 11 am and continuing throughout the day.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund has been created for Philip’s children: Philip W. Boisseau Memorial Scholarship Fund C/O Westfield Bank, 141 Elm Street,Westfield, MA 01085
